This coverage reimburses the insured for the cost of maintaining a comparable standard of living following a covered loss that exceeds the insured's normal expenses. Renters Liability Coverage:
If a claim is made against you or you are sued as a result of a covered occurrence, your renters personal liability coverage can help to cover the associated legal costs and related damages. For example, if a visitor accidentally trips and falls in your apartment and breaks a leg, your renters insurance policy may be able to help protect you.

Earthquake Coverage (state-dependent):

Identity Theft Protection:
This rider protects homeowners in the event of identity fraud and pays for the cost of restoring their identity.
Sewage and Drain Backup Coverage:
This coverage helps you repair water damage from overflowing drains and sewers, broken sump pumps, and damage that results from water moving from the ground up.
Valuable Items:
Valuable personal property coverage protects items such as expensive collections, engagement rings, watches, and other jewelry from theft, loss, or damage.

I attempted to bundle products to save money, their words not mine. There was no savings to be seen, all lies. The extra costs once I signed the policy, so unethical in their practices.

I missed a payment due to identity theft on the bank acct. I did not notice with everything else going on that the payment was not automatically withdrawn. My policy was canceled without any notification. Progressive stated 1 email was sent, I did in fact receive emails every month except the one in question. Very dissatisfied

They are a different company from Progressive called Homesite and it becomes obvious when it comes to Customer Service handoff. Repeatedly, the Homesite online system gets in the way of customer service and their customer service is getting in the way of doing my business. I have been a progressive customer for over 3 years. I can’t believe the horrendous experience we just had with them. 3 tornadoes ripped through the county I live in. We lost power for almost 3 days, no water, totally unlivable conditions. One would think that if you have home/renters insurance that the company would help you out. We were sadly mistaken. Friendly customer service is great, but I base my decision about whether a company is good on if they reimburse me when I have a loss. To me that is the proof in the pudding. After I made a claim for some stolen property that disappeared from my apartment during a party, they responded quickly--with money.

The customer service with this place is only okay, which you'd think would not be the case considering all of the hype they have on their commercials. Anyway, I had to file a claim recently and wasn't all that pleased with how the issue was treated.

I had a break in recently and Progressive reacted quickly to get me money so I could replace things. It was really upsetting to see my apartment broken into and then to have to replace everything. I was just so glad that I got renters insurance.

I love their commercials, but I'm not so sold on their renters insurance. I am really unclear as to what exactly my policy covers, even though I asked about that, and I'm concerned that things won't be covered as I want if something happens.

Just an okay experience with Progressive regarding my renters insurance. My biggest problem is the rate keeps creeping up and I haven't even had any claims over the five years I've had the insurance. That just doens't seem right.

They started out giving me a good rate but after I made a change to my policy they tried charging way too much. Then when I left for the surprise charges, they charged me $50 for cancellation. I will not recommend them to anybody and I am done doing business with them

I couldn't believe it when they raised my rate every renewal. If next renewal goes up again. Im looking elsewhere. I have great credit, pay my bills, and live in a decent neighborhood. There is no excuse to increase rates. They are always increasing rates!

I had a policy with them for a long time for my car but then added a renters insurance policy. Something went wrong with my billing and instead of making my bill reflect the multi-policy discount, it was even higher. It took forever for them to figure everything out and I had to call like 20 times.

I've had a policy for renters insurance for years, but never really thought I needed one. I live in a 3 story apartment building that recently caught fire. My unit wasn't damaged, but everything in it smelled like smoke. Progressive helped me replace my most valuable items.
