This coverage reimburses the insured for the cost of maintaining a comparable standard of living following a covered loss that exceeds the insured's normal expenses. Renters Liability Coverage:
If a claim is made against you or you are sued as a result of a covered occurrence, your renters personal liability coverage can help to cover the associated legal costs and related damages. For example, if a visitor accidentally trips and falls in your apartment and breaks a leg, your renters insurance policy may be able to help protect you.

My rental place was flooded and also leaked from the roof. The entire dry wall fell off, and the state farm won’t pay for a hotel stay. I have a policy with them and am happy with how it's going so far. Hopefully nothing happens but if it does I know that if it does I'm going to be okay. It's cheap and if you bundle with other policies its even a little cheaper.

Everyone has seen the ads on television about Jake from State Farm and how he always shows up when one's in trouble. Well, with State Farm's insurance it is basically like having your very own Jake with you at all times just ready for when disaster strikes. State Farm always knows what/how to handle situations.

We no longer carry renters insurance as we now own a house, but the premium wasn’t bad, and it was needed for our landlord. I have only used this company for renters insurance but I definitely recommend them! They are very nice in their customer service department. They can answer any questions you have, if they don't know the answer they will find it and get back to you as soon as possible. The rates are low and very affordable.

State Farm has made renters insurance easy for me. I am able to initiate claims online or through their app; it’s really accessible. I like that the insurance is provided nationwide— I’m able to file insurance through the various places I’m renting throughout the country. My teenagers are looking at their first apartments. After drilling preparedness into their heads they realized they needed renters insurance.
At the very least they needed it just incase the riots got too close to home.
We went with state farm because of their low price for new renters. They don't have 100% coverage but what can you do with teenagers?

State Farm has amazing Renter’s Insurance! The cost and rates are super low. I personally have not found an insurance company that can match or do better than State Farm. I am highly satisfied with my price and I think you would be too! So please, you would be doing yourself a favor if you checked them out!

It has been helpful to go through a big company because my rental is across the country from where I currently reside, but I can still bundle. State Farm is great! They listen to your needs and don't try and push unnecessary add-ons to your bill. Every time I call I am treated with respect and that is something that never happens anymore. They also make it easy to pay my bill online so there are never any issues.

The agent was especially helpful in explaining what is covered and what is not. In addition he explained what was necessary for us to increase our coverage, such as how to have jewelry appraised prior to submitting. My preference was to be told about what we needed to do to be sure we had full coverage.

State Farm DOES NOT HANDLE THEIR CLAIMS WITH THE CONSUMER WITH RESPECT THEY SUSPECT YOU AS THE PERSON THAT TOO YOUR OWN BELONGINGS?
They also make it very difficult to go along with the process of the claim by not answering your questions or telling you they did not receive any documents that you have mailed or emailed in.

Had State Farm renter's insurance since 2007, never a claim. Fast forward to 2019 when torrential rains caused a sewer backup in our basement (luckily we were covered by a rider). 40 years with this company and never a claim until now. They paid a $400 for an $8,000 claim for roof damage and damage to the inside of the home. Never again. I cancelled all my rental home insurance coverages with them. Choosing Allstate instead.

Whatever you do, please read the fine print. They will say anything to get you to sign a policy but when you need to file a claim, they are quick to deny you. The truth is for what you get, renters insurance is truly a bargain. Peace of mind when you rent doesn't cost as much as peace of mind when you own. Good tthing, since I'm trying to squirrel away any extra savings to buy a house of my own.

This company has excellent customer service, and that says a lot nowadays. I won't do business with companies that can't have real live people at the end of the phone. I've only done one claim over the last five years having them, but I can say that it's the easiest claim I've ever filed.

If you want an insurance you can count on to always have your back and to reimburse you for what things are worth, then get State Farm. I've had a few losses over the years being a renter but they're always covered by State Farm.
