Message from First Bank and Trust

Like many successful businesses, First Bank & Trust began with a small-town vision. In 1880, Brookings, South Dakota entrepreneur Horace Fishback saw a need to serve a growing community with banking services. Horace and his uncle, Bert Olds, began a check-cashing station at the back counter of their general store. What began as a small venture has grown into one of South Dakota’s largest privately-held companies—Fishback Financial Corporation (FFC)—the holding company for First Bank & Trust. On November 2, 1925, Security National Bank became the Fishback family's first independent community bank. Today, we serve 17 thriving communities in South Dakota and Minnesota with 22 bank locations. Our founding philosophy—to meet each local community's needs with integrity and innovation in banking—is why we support independent leadership and employee ownership. We are decision-makers, because we are empowered to be. We are risk takers, because our company was built around an entrepreneurial spirit. We are experts, because we get the training and education we need to grow. Through four generations of Fishbacks, we are proud to be family- and employee-owned and dedicated to giving back in our communities. To grow a diversified independent financial corporation that excels in delivering community banking services and providing niche products nationwide.

Review for First Bank and Trust First Class Club Checking

Everything will be fine until you have a problem with a charge. I have been disputing an unauthorized charge for nine months without any resolution. I haven't been presented any evidence in that time that the charge is valid-and the balance is once again showing that I owe it. They seem to have a strategy of making it as hard as possible to communicate by offering only mail and fax ...Show More
