I would not recommend! We have had two transactions this month where a purchase was declined, only to have the money deducted later that day or the following day. One transaction the balance on my sons account was $20.00 and a $16.42 charge was declined. He left the store without his purchase. The next day $16.42 was deducted from his account. A terrible idea for Co parents!. As soon as my ex gained access she emptied my account and then green light told me to get the money back from her. And although i called immediately only minutes after the money was taken they refused to give it back although i followed all the rules to get it back.

I do not like the charge to use this card. It reminds me of a fee on a credit card and not a Debit card. A kid's checking account at the local bank were better than our experience with Greenlight.

When your kids grow out of using this service and you no longer need this, they keep charging you a monthly fee when you reach out to them several times and tell them to cancel everything. Horrible customer service.

We literally saw this Greenlight card advertised on FaceBook and decided to get them for my 3 step kiddos that live with their mom. Greenlight is great when for putting money in my niece's account. I enjoy the chores list where she'll have to do her chores first and then she gets her allowance. It is easy to pay your kids with Greenlight, and it only takes a couple of seconds to add money to the parent wallet, and transfer it into the kid’s accounts.
