I received my "pre approved" application and immediately went online, filled it out & was "approved". After reading reviews I decided against getting the card. Apparently I'm ok because until I pay the $95 app fee my app hasn't been approved. That takes up to 90 days. So confused because it said I was approved after I did the app online. I'm so glad I didn't pat the $95 fee ...Show More

They suspended my account for no reason,I paid the first payment on time, then they suspended the account until I prove my identity, while in the process of providing identification I paid of the initial $125 fee and then out of nowhere they closed the account so basically I paid them $125 for a 2”x4” piece of useless plastic. I STRONGLY recommend NOT getting this card or doing business with ...Show More

I was trying to build my credit so I opened up a First Premier Credit Card. After having the card for a year I decided to pay it off and close my account. I did not want to pay another annual fee of $45.00 to keep a card that did not offer me any benefits. When I called to close my account the account representative offered to waive the annual ...Show More

I would definitely NOT recommend this card to friends and family. The APR is extremely high and there is an annual fee. This card is mostly for those trying to re-establish your credit. After a bankruptcy, First Premier was one of the only credit card companies that would accept me. I signed up and paid 250 (which also ended up being my balance), and was ...Show More

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS CARD! I had nothing but problems with the card. There is the annual fee plus a getting started fee. On top of that the interest rate is high. The credit limit they offer is appealing for those with bad credit and wand a card to try to rebuild. I do not recommend this card if you are trying to do that.

I don't recommend this card to anyone who needs a card to boost their credit. This card seemed appealing at first when it provided me with a large credit deposit to start out. However, it was rather frustrating that I didn't took the time too check what exactly this card was offering before I was brought in by its appeal. What frustrated me to no end was the fees. Even though the ...Show More

It's a good card to start off with if you have bad-ish credit. But I would only use it for smaller purchases that you can pay off monthly because that interest racks up really fast if you can only due the minimum payment monthly.

I had this card years ago. It's the worst card I ever had! Customer service was very rude & the card can get expensive if you can't pay it off monthly! There are way better cards out there for people with bad credit. This one is the worst ever!

They provide excellent customer service, however, their rates and fees are extremely high. Another thing to consider that monthly payments are high as well.

I have a First Premier credit card and I really like it. Although the annual fee can be a little high, I am able to use the card at the gas pump, which is a feature that some of the lower limit credit cards disable for security reasons. I also find the app to be really easy to navigate. Additionally, the offer balance protection in case you ...Show More

No. Just no. $79 annual fee + $95 Program Fee right off the rip? 36% interest? $12 monthly maintenance fee? This card will be the first to go before annual renewal. We found ourselves here because of bad luck, bad health or bad financial decisions. Don't make another one. It should probably be called First Predatory Bank.

First Premier just sent me the most insulting piece of financial marketing I've ever seen. The offer was for a card with a $300 credit limit and a $75 Annual Fee. That's extremely gangsta but I was willing to swallow the $75 because I'm rebuilding and I need some cards on my credit report. But wait, there's more. The letter was a 4 section folded piece. I have this First Premier Bank Mastercard, and I made a $200 deposit, and they gave me a $300 credit line with a very high interest rate. I would not recommend anyone to get this card because it's not worth it, and they just put you in never ending debt because it's difficult to pay off which sucks.
