Who is the Citi Simplicity Card Designed For?

Citi Simplicity Card is designed for people with excellent credit who are looking for a 0% APR credit card with no annual fee. It is a particularly good fit for those who have a lot of credit card debt or who plan to have that in the future since this card has a long duration for which the 0% APR intro rate applies and is extremely forgiving when it comes to fees and penalties.

What are the Rates for the Citi Simplicity Card?

The Citi Simplicity Card credit card lives up to its name when it comes to rates. It has the same standard 14.49% APR to 24.49% APR (varies depending on creditworthiness) for purchases, balance transfers, and cash advances. However, what makes this card stand out is its 21-month 0% APR on both purchases and balance transfers: the longest 0% APR intro rate in the business. To boot, it has no penalty rates for cardholders who are late on payments.

What are the Fees for Citi Simplicity Card?

The Citi Simplicity Card card not only offers a killer intro rate, but it also has no annual fee and no late payment fee. However, it does have a 3% fee ($5 minimum) on foreign transactions and balance transfers, a 5% ($10 minimum) cash advance fee, and a $35 fee on returned payments. In other words, leave this card behind if you're going abroad.

What is Citi Simplicity Card's Rewards Program Like?

Citi Simplicity Card doesn't have a rewards program. Its focus is on helping people save on APR-related payments. Nevertheless, it does have a generous set of benefits for its cardholders.

What about Citi Simplicity Card's Signup Bonus?

Citi Simplicity Card doesn't have a signup bonus unless you count a 21-month 0% APR intro rate as a signup bonus, which you should.

Does the Citi Simplicity Card Have Any Other Benefits?

Citi Simplicity Card includes a set of prime shopping and traveling benefits, such as Citi Price Rewind, which will refund the price difference if a cardholder finds the same item they purchased within 60 days at a lower price. It also includes extended warranty on credit card purchases, worldwide car rental insurance, and travel emergency assistance.

How Is Citi Simplicity Card Better Than Other Credit Cards?

Citi Simplicity Card is simply (I couldn't resist) one of the best 0% APR balance transfer credit cards available. It has a long intro rate, no annual fee and no late fees, but still manages to include prime shopping and travel benefits. The only caveat to consider is that it has a 3% balance transfer fee. For instance, if your transfer $10,000 of credit card debt, you will have 21 months to pay for it interest-free, but you first will have to pay $300 to process the transfer. In its defense, a balance transfer fee is standard for most all major balance transfer cards with the exception of the Chase Slate credit card.
