I will be cancelling my card. For one, Interest rates are extremely high. For two, their promotional interest free purchases are not worth it to me. Every month I waste time trying to figure out my account on their website to make sure that I am paying the necessary amount to NOT pay interest, and every month I get so frustrated because I have no idea where to go for ...Show More

Can't really make up my mind about the Home Depot credit card. Customer service can use some improvement, I've had miscommunication on the APR, when was making a purchase at Home Depot store, which almost cost me few hundred dollars in interest until I managed to sort it out over the phone with customer service representative. Got approved for great credit limit, when making a large purchase, yet it got ...Show More

I am so frustrated just trying to set up my online account. The provided me with a user name but no information on how to create a password. When I called and finally was given a password, I then had to receive two deposits in my checking account. Again, with no instructions on how to verify the checking account so that I can make payment. This is one of the ...Show More

I have had my Home Depot card for more than five years and originally opened the account while in the store, to finance a large purchase. I think the card is great if you can take advantage of the 0% APR by paying off the purchase within a short timeframe but agree with a previous reviewer that the interest rate becomes a big burden if you carry a balance. ...Show More

They take too long to change due date, refuse to correct their mistakes. Their math doesn’t add up correctly and even the manager / supervisor stumbles trying to explain it. Which she never could. 35$ min payment due date 6th. Paid on 6th marked late because was a weekend!?!? So 35 became 74 with a 35$ late fee!? 35+35=70! Where the 4$ come from? Then she removed the late fee ...Show More

This card is good if you are a frequent home depot shopper or if you want to use one of the 6 months 0% interest deals. However, make sure that you are going to be able to pay it off in the promotional time period because the high APR hits hard.

This is the worst credit card I have ever had. They are so sloppy with recording online payments and so quick with assigning late fees. No customer service! Do not bother calling the 800 number. You get a robot telling you to push a number Do not chat on line. You will go round and round with their prefabricated responses.

I was able to open a Home Depot personal credit card with a decent credit line on a moderately good credit score. Their promotional purchase plans came at good times when I needed to replace a kitchen range or buy a second small refrigerator for a household member to use upstairs. It was fairly easy to pay those amounts back down. It is convenient to have when I need the ...Show More

I am a general contractor and am always going to Home Depot. I use this card for one major reason, and that is to track all my purchases for the year. This card will not bring you many perks and the APR is decently high. Say you are buying an initial large purchase though, this card will be worth it if you pay the purchase off. As I said though, ...Show More
