Commence Mastercard is a personal credit card designed for individuals with good or excellent credit who are looking for student-related perks. With this card, you’ll receive a 25% student loan redemption bonus every time you redeem cash back into any student loan account. Cardholders earn cash back on every purchase and bonuses on grocery store and utility purchases. Hence, if you are interested in those kinds of rewards and prefer a card with no annual fee, Commence Mastercard might be for you.
What Are the Rates for Commence Mastercard?
The rate for purchases ranges from 14.99% APR to 23.99% APR based on creditworthiness. There is an introductory 0% APR for 15 months on balance transfers, after which the rate ranges from 14.99% APR to 23.99% APR based on creditworthiness. The rate for cash advances is 26.24% APR. There is no penalty APR. APRs will vary with the market based on the prime rate.
What Are the Fees for Commence Mastercard?
There is no annual fee. There is a 3% foreign transaction fee. Balance transfers incur a fee of either 3% of the amount of each transfer or $5, whichever is greater. Cash advances incur a fee of either 5% of the amount of each cash advance or $10, whichever is greater. Late payments incur a fee up to $37. Returned payments incur a fee up to $37.
What Is the Rewards Program Like for Commence Mastercard?
Cardholders earn 2% cash back on grocery store and utility purchases and 1% cash back on all other purchases. Additionally, cardholders receive a 25% student loan redemption bonus every time they redeem cash back into a student loan account. There is no limit to the amount of cash back that can be received. Cardholders can redeem their cash back by transferring the funds to a student loan, receiving a statement credit or depositing the funds in a savings or checking account.
What Is the Signup Bonus for Commence Mastercard?
Cardholders get a $50 cashback bonus after they use their card to make a purchase in the first 90 days.
