Horrible experience with this company when I lost a card. Over a period of six months I kept calling for replacement cards, would be assured they were sending a replacement and expediting it since they kept screwing up, and the card would never arrive. I would call back and they acted like I had never called them or that I must have hung up before the process was completed. Horrible ...Show More

Although there is an annual fee, I love having and using this card, especially when I know the family will be traveling. The airline miles rack up pretty quickly when this is your "default" card for all purchases. We were able to purchase roundtrip tickets from the East Coast to Hawaii for nearly free. Customer service is always great and the app is easy to use, too.

First, redeeming flight points is damn near impossible. They dangle in front of you to sign up it is worth enough points for travel for 2 anywhere in the Continental U.S. I tried numerous times to use mine only to discover that I couldn't even get a round trip ticket for 1 from Phoenix to Houston without using all my points AND pay money. 2nd, shady marketing. ...Show More

The Barclay AAdvantage Aviator Red Mastercard is a great opportunity to get free airline tickets for money you will spend anyway. (Provided you don't carry a balance and pay your bill on time). The 60,000 miles you are awarded more than makes up for the $99 annual fee. Also, the perks of a free checked bag and priority boarding are always nice bonuses when travelling. I 100% would not use this product, or Barclays Bank in general. Someone signed up for this card using my personal information. In today's age, identity theft is not uncommon, and Bank will rectify the situation immediately. However, Barclays Bank made this a nightmare.
